Do you write but not sing? Male vocalist available…

You’re a very good songwriter, maybe you’re brilliant. But there’s just one thing: you don’t have the greatest singing voice. Maybe pretty good – just not good enough to really sell the GREAT song you’ve just written.

I am a male demo vocalist with many styles under my belt: Rock, Country, Alternative, Metal, R&B, Standards, surf music…you name it.

I will put that finishing touch on your next song, including just the right vocal arrangement.

I have the ability to record at home and send you the files. Payments can be made by money order or through Paypal if it’s needed.

Go to http://www.myspace.com/jonstathammusic for samples of my work.

Feel free to call as well: (310) 882-1967 Jon
Thank you.

Violinist, cellist, keyboardist and drummer wanted for an avant-rock band.

I am a bassist seeking to form an avant-garde rock band. I have need of a keyboardist, a violinist, a cellist and a drummer.

I have the participation of a classically-trained, multi-octave vocalist and a guitarist, and we are currently writing material.

There are a number of influences and it helps if you share some of them: Swans, Diamanda Galas, Godspeed You Black Emperor! A Silver Mt.Zion, John Zorn, Masada, Tribes of Neurot, Jarboe, World of Skin, early Pink Floyd, Laibach, Throbbing Gristle, Zero 7, Angels of Light, Faust, Body Lovers, Body Haters, My Bloody Valentine, Of Cabbages and Kings, THE RAINCOATS, Circus Mort, Painkiller, Suicide, Can, Autumn Fair, Come, Uzi, Saint Vitus, Black Sabbath, Black Flag, Glenn Branca, The Fall.

I ask that you have no drug habits or issues, the ability to transport yourself and your equipment to and from rehearsal, as well as contributing your portion of the rent to our shared practice space.

I can be reached at omaritaylor@gmail.com or at 206.547.2615.

Auxiliary percussionist sought by an experimental rock band.

We are an organic, experimental rock band seeking an auxiliary percussionist to play alongside a kit drummer, rounding out and augmenting the sound of the band.

We currently consist of a vocalist/guitarist, a bassist and a second guitarist, and are seeking to round out our personnel.

You will be using congas, timbales, wrought-iron scrap metal and assorted items such as bottles, hooves, and knives. I'm looking to incorporate Haitian and Cuban polyrhythms into the music to emphasize and augment the beats with the drummer as needed for each song, helping to forge a unique, creative sound. I can teach you these rhythms. The percussive element of the band is a strong component, and we are looking for someone who will not just accompany the drummer, but build up a sense of dynamic and aggression.

It would help if you had an industrial/underground/avant-garde background, as well as an intimate understanding and strong awareness of bands such as Swans, Laibach, Throbbing Gristle, Prong, Killing Joke, Big Black, Savage Republic, Head of David, Godflesh, Arsenal, Unsane, Pigface, and Whitehouse.

Several compositions are completed, and I plan to teach those to newcomers, as well as other completed songs that I am working on now. I presently have the songs to present to interested parties. We are consistently writing, and I expect to build on a naturally evolving sound.

The current music is evident of bands such as early Swans, Neurosis, Godflesh, Damaged/My War/Slip It In-era Black Flag, and Big Black. The first few compositions sound this way, but I expect to build on a naturally evolving sound.

We have a practice space in a 24-hour facility, and it is required that you contribute monthly to the rent, as well as transport yourself and your equipment to and from practice.

I also ask that you have no drug habits or issues.

If interested, please contact me at 206.547.2615. or write me at omaritaylor@gmail.com.

I'm a guitarist/vocalist looking for band (existing or start up) for 2 to 6 paying gigs per month. My main interests include alt-country/Americana, roots rock, modern blues, power pop. My guitar playing is versatile, and falls somewhere between Robin Ford's blues and David Grissom's country rock style. I sing lead and harmony, have pro gear, reliable transportation, and east side rehearsal space with PA. I'm a quick study, and believe in productive rehearsals. No interest in extensive touring, or musicians without substantial gigging experience.

Interests include: Steve Earle, Webb Wilder, Shawn Colvin, Storyville, Arc Angels, Buddy Miller, Lucinda Williams, John Hiatt, Ben Folds Five, Elvis Costello, Will Owsley, Robbie Fulks, Little Feat, Jackson Browne, Gov't Mule, Fountains of Wayne, XTC, Joe Henry, the Bottle Rockets, Big Wreck, Cheap Trick, Nick Lowe, Rockpile, Rodney Crowell, Lone Justice, Morphine, Richard Thompson, Chris Whitley.

Hit me up if you're looking for a reliable, versatile guitarist/vocalist.

Alright, so im 16, and i play drums, my friend, who is also 16 plays guitar. Were looking for a vocalist, bassist, and possibly a keyboardist/rhythm guitar player, or any combo of those. We are basiclly just starting, i mean, we dont have a PA system, dont really have a practice space;except my room, and were still learning. So we are looking for musicians who are around are age, and who are still learning to start a band with. We play rock/grunge.
