Do you write but not sing? Male vocalist available…

You’re a very good songwriter, maybe you’re brilliant. But there’s just one thing: you don’t have the greatest singing voice. Maybe pretty good – just not good enough to really sell the GREAT song you’ve just written.

I am a male demo vocalist with many styles under my belt: Rock, Country, Alternative, Metal, R&B, Standards, surf music…you name it.

I will put that finishing touch on your next song, including just the right vocal arrangement.

I have the ability to record at home and send you the files. Payments can be made by money order or through Paypal if it’s needed.

I'm a guitarist/vocalist looking for band (existing or start up) for 2 to 6 paying gigs per month. My main interests include alt-country/Americana, roots rock, modern blues, power pop. My guitar playing is versatile, and falls somewhere between Robin Ford's blues and David Grissom's country rock style. I sing lead and harmony, have pro gear, reliable transportation, and east side rehearsal space with PA. I'm a quick study, and believe in productive rehearsals. No interest in extensive touring, or musicians without substantial gigging experience.

Interests include: Steve Earle, Webb Wilder, Shawn Colvin, Storyville, Arc Angels, Buddy Miller, Lucinda Williams, John Hiatt, Ben Folds Five, Elvis Costello, Will Owsley, Robbie Fulks, Little Feat, Jackson Browne, Gov't Mule, Fountains of Wayne, XTC, Joe Henry, the Bottle Rockets, Big Wreck, Cheap Trick, Nick Lowe, Rockpile, Rodney Crowell, Lone Justice, Morphine, Richard Thompson, Chris Whitley.

Hit me up if you're looking for a reliable, versatile guitarist/vocalist.

Wanted: Drummer, Bassist, Guitarist, Vocals for 80's Cover band

We are trying to put together a startup project for 80's rock and pop covers. We are looking for dedicated people who would be willing to commit to the right situation. We need strong vocalists, a great drummer (who can potentially play to a click), a bassist, and possibly another guitarist. We have seasoned keyboards and guitar.

Goals include playing live - hopefully casinos and private parties, but also other types of gigs (we all have to start somewhere). Looking for good musicians, self-starters to help create a tight, professional show band with strong harmonies. Would like to find people who can all bring something to the table - i.e. musicians who can also sing, maybe some connections to getting gigs, practice space, PA, lights or whatever. We have home recording studio for demos and web/promo pack design abilities.

Must have reliable transportation and motivation. We need people we can count on here.

Please, only serious inquiries. Let's not waste each other's time. Demos appreciated.

Email: icomeinvaluepacksof10@yahoo.com

Interested in covering bands such as Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, Rick Springfield, Cheap Trick, Greg Kihn, Foreigner, Bruce Springsteen, Duran Duran, Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Toto, Journey, Hall and Oates, Huey Lewis, The Cars, Tommy Tutone, The Knack, The Police, Marshall Crenshaw, The Romantics, The Cure, and many others.

Hi,

Thanks for checking out the ad. now let's cut to the chase.

I play classical guitar. I also interact with my audiences and sing songs from the 20's to what's current. (I guess a cruise ship variety act might be similar to what I do- something for everyone). This is of course, a very, very brief sketch.

What I'm looking for is 1) either someone who has experience and thinks creatively about ways to book my various 'angles' or 2) someone who knows they're a sales guru. Not sleazy, just good at selling and establishing relationships. I have these skills but I want to concentrate on performance and upgrading my show. My website is just up and running at danconnolly.net. If this sounds interesting we'll have to talk at some point so...

Give me a call. I'm easy to work with and looking to work.

Reasons to Drum

Drum circles can be extremely effective for corporations, companies, and small businesses that want to enhance the generation of new ideas and better team work. When people discover that they can collectively produce a good sound without any musical training or background, they start to realize that they can be more effective at work by putting their heads together and working as a team.
Also, drumming uses the brain in a different pattern than the linear thought process that is usually needed in the work environment. A drum circle brings the group to a more open mental and psychological process. The creative side of the brain becomes free to improvise, which can be carried over to the production of new and better ways of working. An excellent tool to kick off any kind of brain storming session, and optimize the quantity and quality of new ideas. I provide the group with the tools they need to figure out the task.

Why Drumming?

Music is a universal language, and drumming is one of the most accessible ways for diverse groups of people to make music together. Drumming encourages teamwork and builds skills in listening, participating, and leadership. Our goal is to help people build stronger communities through making music together in the classroom, at team-building events, and at community gatherings.

In the past few decades, there has been a movement to uncover and recover the ancient art form of drumming and making music together as a community.
The late Babatunde Olatunji, a gifted drummer and inspirational teacher, made it his life mission to help create peace in the world by encouraging people to communicate and celebrate life through music. He said: “All people from all walks of life, all colors, have various things they can do together to create harmony, and it is the simplest to make music and sing together."

The interest in drum circles as a way of community gathering has been growing rapidly all over the world and is happening in many settings. As well as community circles open to the public, facilitated drum circles are being used in schools as an educational tool; are taking place in multi-national corporations and governments for morale building, in health care facilities with the well-elderly, cancer patients, recovering addicts, alzheimer patients ...and the list grows as more people experience the positive effects of self-expression in a creative and friendly environment.

Not only are drum circles a wonderful way to have fun and meet new friends. Other recognized benefits include it as exercise for the mind, body, spirit and a great stress reducer.

Drum circles are coordinated by a facilitator in order to help the group have fun making music together and no musical experience is necessary in order to participate. We are all rhythmical beings! This multi-generational, multi-cultural, activity encourages listening and relating to each other without words and is really a re-connection to the ancient wisdom found in all cultures about the beauty and importance of community gatherings.

Style, Energy, Rhythm, and Fun - Salsariba is this and more with original hits such as Peruvian Cha-Cha-Cha and Yo Se Que Te Han Dicho.

Founded in 2004 by singer-song writer Sammy Torres, Salsariba is an experienced all-star group of locally based artists bringing exciting dance beats to salsa music.

Sammy, who grew up surrounded by Salsa and other Latin Rhythms in Peru, learned to sing from his mother. A former Bolero singer, she lit the flame for the fire of passion that Sammy has for music. At age 18, Sammy began performing professionally in New York and has been at it ever since.

While in New York Sammy worked with artists such as Julio Barreto, Antonio Cartagena, and Juan Canevello. He played with bands Combo Ocho and Chimpum York, as well as being the founder of Los Peloteros del Swing.

Salsariba's inspiration comes from this unique musical background and everyday life. By combining the many styles of Latin music with new styles of rhythm and themes to well known and original salsa songs, Salsariba brings a fresh and unique sound to the Seattle Salsa Scene.
