Event Co-Ordinators & Promoters Needed - ASAP

Event Co-Ordinators and Promoters Needed

TBR Studios Presents:

The Battle for America
A National Battle of the Bands Event

We are now seeking EVENT Co-Ordinators & Promoters

If you have ever wanted to promote musical events such as concerts or local music shows, this is your chance to learn the ropes and get paid to do it. No experience needed, just enthusiasm and a desire to succeed.

We have now completed two annual events in Texas (The Battle for Texas - Houston Regionals). SEE BLOG on www.myspace.com/battleforamerica home page. We are about to roll out into other major Texas cities as well as expand nationwide for the 2010 event. We need co-ordinators to accomplish this. I will personally carry out Texas cities unless I find Co-Ordinators in the other cities such as Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, etc. I think you get the idea!

We need Co-Ordinators in every state to run the 1 Day events in their major home city and you have the option to take your local city event to every major city in your state. This is similar to a street team concept for a band, except you get paid for your efforts and are part of a national event. There are no fees for you to sign up as a co-ordinator and join the project.

I have all the tools (Registration & Waiver Forms, graphics, etc.) & experience you need to make your event work in your city. Both of our events in Houston were started and successfully completed in 30-45 days from the date of event conception. All you need is the will to take on the event and make some cash in the process. ie: If you find a venue for the event in your city by January 1st, your event should be completed by Jan 31st or mid Feb. at the latest. Then you can do it again later in the year or move to another city.

This is perfect for Recording Studio owners, Graphic Artists that work with bands, Music Store owners, full/part time musicians, entrepreneurs and even Club owners. It's a great way to network your business, studio or band and be part of a national event at the same time.

Your function as an Event Co-Ordinator for The Battle for America:

1) Secure Venue and Date of the event
2) Secure local sponsors (Recording Studios, Music Stores, Graphic Artists, etc)
3) Secure Bands to Compete (I'll show you how)
4) Promote the event locally along with competing bands
5) Secure 3 Event Judges (usually from the sponsors)
6) Host Event (emcee) and hand out local awards at completion of the days events.

If you live in Atlanta, for example, your event will be called:
The Battle for Georgia - Atlanta Regionals

Your event will have a MySpace page tied to this Battle for America page. If you own a recording studio, for example, you will have a banner such as mine: "TBR Studios Presents"

I think you get the idea. For more info on how to become an event co-ordinator, contact me by my studio phone, home phone or email below (or this page) anytime days or eves. Ask for "Luckee".

See you in the Battlefield!!!

Thanks,

Luckee

Press Release:

ANNAMERCURY

Marinated together in early 2009 as the 5 member band like blending choice seasoned spices in a culinary treasure to create rock music for the world. Although, initially each member helms from different corners of the west region of the United States. They met and formed the band while living in Seattle, WA after a consistent time of artistically crossing paths. The underlining unspoken message the men want to say with their music is: “From the basement, to all the listening and visual audiences everywhere this is for you”.

“AM” (AnnAMercury) is comprised of Brady singing lead vocals, Jeff playing drums, Robin strumming the bass, with guitars being laced by both Pete and Ryan. All five share a mutual inner passion for music and a quiet determination to be as good as they possibly can be. The music that the band chooses to create is original in nature with a savory rock-n-roll flavor. And each member contributes by drawing on their own musical backgrounds in a combination of ways to make the songs happen.

After only seven months in the making the band is currently working on finishing its first songs to be recorded as an EP late summer in the legendary London Bridge Studio. Also, be sure to look for the band to begin their live public performances this coming November 2009 with much fanfare debut.

EP release date is scheduled for November 15th 2009...You don't want to miss it! Checkout and follow the band at: (www.myspace.com/annamercurylive) & (www.reverbnation.com/annamercury)

Thank you,
ANNAMERCURY

I am a bassist seeking to form an avant-garde rock band. I have need of a keyboardist, a violinist, a cellist and a drummer.

I have the participation of a classically-trained, multi-octave vocalist and a guitarist, and we are currently writing material.

There are a number of influences and it helps if you share some of them: Swans, Diamanda Galas, Godspeed You Black Emperor! A Silver Mt.Zion, John Zorn, Masada, Tribes of Neurot, Jarboe, World of Skin, early Pink Floyd, Laibach, Throbbing Gristle, Zero 7, Angels of Light, Faust, Body Lovers, Body Haters, My Bloody Valentine, Of Cabbages and Kings, THE RAINCOATS, Circus Mort, Painkiller, Suicide, Can, Autumn Fair, Come, Uzi, Saint Vitus, Black Sabbath, Black Flag, Glenn Branca, The Fall.

I ask that you have no drug habits or issues, the ability to transport yourself and your equipment to and from rehearsal, as well as contributing your portion of the rent to our shared practice space.

Current two-piece (both guitarists) is seeking a drummer that plays unusual as well as conventional beat structures and a bassist with incredible low-end presence.

The sound could best be described as organic, textural and atmospheric. There are elements of many forms of rock in our music, including punk, some metal, and psychedelia. Altered tunings, angular rhythms, non-conventional playing are all elements of what we do.

There are a number of influences, and it helps if you share a lot of them.

Black Flag, Shellac, Phantom Tollbooth, Salem 66, Squirrel Bait, Jesus Lizard, Unwound, Die Kreuzen, Live Skull, Cows, Tad, Tar, Halo Of Flies, Dicks, Big Boys, MDC, Husker Du, Killdozer, early Butthole Surfers, Dust, Naked Raygun, Vaselines, Ghost, Kyuss, Desert Sessions, Mountain, Hawkwind, Helios Creed, Chrome, Theory Of Ruin, God Bullies, Melvins, Skin Yard, MC5, The Frost, Stooges, Mission of Burma, Therapy? early Soundgarden, early Sonic Youth, Fudge Tunnel, Rat At Rat R, early Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Scratch Acid, Slits, Vice Squad, Effigies, early Pink Floyd, Them, Saint Vitus, Unsane, The Obsessed, Fugazi, Come, Morphine, Codeine, Saccharine Trust, early Iron Maiden, Corrosion of Conformity, Public Image, Ltd., Killing Joke.

I ask that you have no drug habits or issues, and that you're able to transport yourself to and from practice, as well as pay rent on time at our shared space.

Aggressive, hard-hitting drummer sought by an experimental rock band.

posted: November 18, 2009, 04:09 AM

We're an experimental rock band with an emphasis on rhythm, dynamics, harsh sound and other elements. We are seeking a drummer who is able to create unusual as well as conventional beat structures and be able to mesh those beats with those of our auxiliary percussionist, which we are also looking to acquire.

The percussionist would be using scrap metal as well as instruments such as a conga, timbales, bells, and other implements. As a drummer, it would help if you had an industrial background, as well as an understanding and strong awareness of bands such as Swans, Black Flag, Laibach, Throbbing Gristle, Prong, Tad, Killing Joke, Neurosis, Big Black, Savage Republic, Head of David, Godflesh, Arsenal, Unsane, Pigface, SPK, Glenn Branca, Suicide and Whitehouse. These are frames of reference, it is not necessary to know all of these bands.

I ask that you have no drug issues, as well as the ability to transport yourself and your equipment to and from practice, which takes place twice a week. We also require you to pay your portion of the rent at our shared practice space.

Interested parties can contact 206.547.2615 or omaritaylor@gmail.com. Samples of our current material can be heard at:

Auxiliary percussionist sought by an experimental rock band.

posted: November 18, 2009, 04:09 AM

Replyclick here

We are an organic, experimental rock band seeking an auxiliary percussionist to play alongside a kit drummer, rounding out and augmenting the sound of the band.

We currently consist of a vocalist/guitarist, a bassist and a second guitarist, and are seeking to round out our personnel.

You will be using congas, timbales, wrought-iron scrap metal and assorted items such as bottles, hooves, and knives. I'm looking to incorporate Haitian and Cuban polyrhythms into the music to emphasize and augment the beats with the drummer as needed for each song, helping to forge a unique, creative sound. I can teach you these rhythms. The percussive element of the band is a strong component, and we are looking for someone who will not just accompany the drummer, but build up a sense of dynamic and aggression.

It would help if you had an industrial/underground/avant-garde background, as well as an intimate understanding and strong awareness of bands such as Swans, Laibach, Throbbing Gristle, Prong, Killing Joke, Big Black, Savage Republic, Head of David, Godflesh, Arsenal, Unsane, Pigface, and Whitehouse.

Several compositions are completed, and I plan to teach those to newcomers, as well as other completed songs that I am working on now. I presently have the songs to present to interested parties. We are consistently writing, and I expect to build on a naturally evolving sound.

The current music is evident of bands such as early Swans, Neurosis, Godflesh, Damaged/My War/Slip It In-era Black Flag, and Big Black. The first few compositions sound this way, but I expect to build on a naturally evolving sound.

We have a practice space in a 24-hour facility, and it is required that you contribute monthly to the rent, as well as transport yourself and your equipment to and from practice.

I also ask that you have no drug habits or issues.

If interested, please contact me at 206.547.2615. or write me at omaritaylor@gmail.com.

Keyboardist and Soundscape artist sought by an experimental rock band.

posted: November 18, 2009, 04:07 AM

Replyomaritaylor@hotmail.com

We are an organic, experimental rock band, seeking a keyboardist/soundscape artist, who will use atmospheres, samples and loops to augment and bolster our music, as well as creating harsh sounds with the keyboard. You would be working alongside me to find and contribute source material via field recordings and sampled sounds from ordinary life, manipulated to produce new and odd sounds to weave into, out of, and around the music. An avant-garde/industrial background is appreciated, but not entirely necessary. A willingness to adapt and learn works best.

Among a myriad of influences, the notable ones are: Swans, Black Flag, Neurosis, Big Black, SPK, Pigface, Jarboe, Diamanda Galas, The Body Lovers/Body Haters, Killing Joke, Laibach, Black Sabbath, Savage Republic, Throbbing Gristle, Head of David, Arsenal, Scorn, Coil, Autumn Fair, Birthday Party, Faust, Godflesh, Suicide, DNA, Mars, a mess of hardcore punk, No-Wave, post-punk and metal bands, and many more. There are elements of many sub-genres of rock music in our material, as well as many non-rock influences. Based on this, I expect to build on a naturally evolving sound.

I ask that you have no drug habits or issues, and that you can transport yourself and your equipment to and from practice with ease. We have a practice that is in a secure facility with 24/7 access. We require that you are able to pay your portion of the rent.

Interested parties can hear samples of our music at:
