Job DescriptionLombart Instrument is the largest authorized distributor in the United States of diagnostic instrumentation for the eyecare industry. We have an opening for a customer-focused individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician. In this role, you will perform set-up and installation, preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of electronic, mechanical, and computer based medical equipment. Most of these services are performed in the field at our clients location.Job Responsibilities:Provide installation and commissioning services of newly purchased equipment at customer facilitiesProvide service and support to customers including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, both in-house (10%) and on-site (90%)Deliver world-class customer service to all customers with professionalismTeam with Sales to meet customer requirementsCoordinate business information between customers, sales, and other associatesSubmit all paperwork in a timely and professional mannerMaintain a close professional relationship with all internal/external customersParticipate in developing and maintaining a sense of teamwork within the service departmentSeek and participate in training to improve technical and professional skillsJob Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience with electro/mechanical repair and troubleshootingMinimum High School diploma or GED requiredAble to handle the physical requirements of loading, unloading, and moving of equipment up to 100 lbs requiredExperience with electronics (computer) repair a plusPrevious experience with diagnostic tools and equipmentMust have an active and valid US drivers licenseAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningSelf-starter (the ability to work unsupervised)Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar business software/applications.Willing to travel approximately 65% of the timeExcellent communications skills to interface with customers and coworkersWillingness to seek and participate in training to improve technical and professional skillsTeam playerCompany DescriptionFounded in 1979, Lombart is the largest independent, value-added distributor of ophthalmic instruments to ophthalmologist and optometrist practices in the US It has been the #1 player in the segment since 1987 and has the strongest brand recognition amongst its peers.
