Logistics Management Specialist (Personal Property).

### Responsibilities
The incumbent serves as a Logistics Management Specialist in a Logistics Service Area with primary responsibility for in use management of personal property to support the National Aerospace System (NAS), the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), and other Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) initiatives and organizations. The incumbent uses a variety of property and accounting systems including, but not limited to, Automated Inventory Tracking System (AITS), Logistics and Inventory System (LIS), DELPHI Project Accounting Fixed Asset modules, Project Materiel Shipping and Receiving System (PMSRS), and PRISM USB, and is responsible for maintaining automated property systems. The incumbent is responsible for preparing property transfers as needed to effect changes in the property system, conducting inventory management evaluations, analyzing discrepancies, and providing solutions to issues. The incumbent provides assistance for all materiel matters to include providing technical advice, implementing and interpreting policy to customers of the Personal Property and Materiel Group. **The incumbent works independently to perform most assignments and has contact with a wide variety of personnel both within and external to the organization.**
**Major Duties and Responsibilities:**
**Maintains property information in data bases and systems including AITS, LIS,****DELPHI** **Project Accounting module**,** PRISM, USD, and PMSRS:**
* Maintains source documentation for transactions.
* Prepares documentation for the disposal/transfer.
* Provides information on, or access to, national data bases to customers.
* Analyzes and identifies data discrepancies and initiate corrective actions.
* Reviews exception/discrepancy reports and corrects transactions as required.
* Submits scheduled reports.
* Provides guidance to less experienced specialists.
**Performs in use personal property asset management:**
* Assists customer in defining requirements.
* Oversees the receipt, storage, distribution, use, care, and protection of personal property.
* Identifies excess property for disposal.
**Performs other property management and related assignments:**
* Performs inventory management and other tasks supporting property capitalization or disposal.
* Performs tasks related to motor vehicle fleet operation, use, and management.
* Prepares responses to inquiries and assists the Materiel and Personal Property Group Manager, supervisors, or senior specialists in responding to more complex oral and written inquiries including Congressional and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, protests, claims against the U.S. government, and similar inquiries.

Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.

To qualify for this position at the FV-H level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G or GS-10/11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience may include: conducting property program evaluations, analyzing discrepancies, and providing solutions to the issues/problems.
