The IT Senior Systems Engineer is a critical and valuable part of our team. This position will research, design, implement and support complex IT Servers and Systems. The Sr. Systems Engineer is a technical expert in IT systems specializing in one or more specific technology area ( Infrastructure Application, Network, Server Operating Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, Virtualization, Directory Services, E-mail, Disaster Recovery, Security, Antivirus, Storage Management, Print Management, Hardware Management, Mobile Device Management, Application Deployment, PKI, ) in a wide variety of technologies (i.e., software and/or hardware). The Sr. Systems Engineer will maintain high degree of awareness about emerging technologies and advise IT management accordingly and will provide expert advice and engineer repeatable processes relating to deployment, support and maintenance of all areas of expertise. This could include some project management of internal projects.

Qualifications
Education
Minimum Education Requirements
Associate s Degree or equivalent experience may be substituted for the degree.
Preferred Education
Bachelor s Degree BA/BS degree or equivalent experience may be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis.
Knowledge/Skills
Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Advanced knowledge of enterprise environments and ability to engineer solutions to include but not limited to: Server Operating Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, Virtualization, Directory Services, E-mail, Disaster Recovery, Security, Antivirus, Storage Management, Print Management, Hardware Management, Mobile Device Management, Application Deployment, PKI, and DNS. Ability to understand complex systems and IT protocols. Ability to integrate the most complex hardware and software systems. Ability to constantly adapt, learn and support new technologies. Assume full ownership/responsibility of assigned responsibilities and delivers services guidelines with little or no supervision. Strong technical and analytical skills required in solving complex systems infrastructure issues.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Strong skills in Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server 2008 Current).
Strong skills in server platforms (Cisco UCS and Dell blade technology).
Strong skills in scripting on Windows platforms using PowerShell.
Strong skills in Active Directory management and configuration.
Proven competence with SAN solutions and storage management at the host level.
Working knowledge of networks and how they relate to Microsoft server technology.
Working knowledge of basic programing languages are a plus (VB, C# etc).
Working knowledge of server management tools within a windows server environment.
Working knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and instrumentation tools.
Proven knowledge in build server metrics and reporting mechanisms for server platforms.
Exposure to ITIL concepts and frameworks.
Ability to architect and design solutions related to application and business requirements.
Experience
Minimum Experience Requirements
10 or more years of progressive IT experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience researching, designing, implementing and maintaining IT infrastructure systems within an enterprise environment with high complexity.
License/Certifications

Preferred License/Certifications
None required, however, they will be considered a plus for the overall position.
