Requisition SummaryThe Senior Director of Global Infrastructure & Operations reports directly to the CIO. As part of the senior management team of PACCAR’s Information Technology Division, the chosen candidate will be responsible for PACCAR’s global infrastructure technology and operations. The successful candidate will develop and implement the global roadmap and investment strategy for infrastructure. In addition, this candidate will drive exceptional service levels for our business globally.The successful candidate should have 15+ years of related experience with a Fortune 500 company with demonstrated upward progression. Required knowledge and experience includes network communications, database, distributed and legacy servers, desktop and portal technologies and integration services. In addition, this candidate will possess a strong applications development background.The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their leadership capabilities in building business partnerships with the functional leaders. Alignment of the business community is a top priority. PACCAR is seeking an innovative, passionate, forward thinking individual who can balance strategic leadership and technology vision with solid project planning and delivery (work plans, audits and controls, budgets, etc.). He/She must have sound experience in organizational management, a team oriented approach, and be driven by integrity and principal in their management style. Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate should have a background of positions with increasing responsibility and project management tenure. The most appropriate cultural experience should include a medium to large sized information services operation, which is noted for its excellence and reputation in information technology sophistication and support. He/She should have excellent leadership ability with the capability of energizing and motivating people, leading to lasting cultural change. This person needs to have the ability to leverage internal and external expertise in a matrix environment and share best practices across the organization while utilizing cross-company best practices.The candidate should be results driven and have the ability to work with subject matter experts in all areas of technology but especially in the areas of enterprise technology, infrastructure design, and data management. Ideally, this person will have experience implementing cutting edge technology to improve business outcome. The ideal candidate will have a technical architect background to be able to identify what technology PACCAR should be testing and potentially using across the enterprise (at every layer – infrastructure/information/business process). The candidate should have experience effectively partnering with high tech vendors such as Microsoft, Dell, IBM, and Cisco to identify new technologies and determine which of these PACCAR should adopt. Qualifications & SkillsExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization. This person should have the ability to translate technical data and concepts and communicate them to non-technical management personnel.An extremely bright executive with a solid understanding (and passion!) for technology and its capabilities to achieve business success. An individual who is flexible and resilient with the ability to manage both risk and budget controls. This individual must have a high level of tolerance for handling pressure and working in a very rigorous management culture.Being detail-oriented yet able to see the strategic big picture. This person should have the ability to be challenged at the lowest level of detail while also being able to envision and talk about the strategic direction of the company.  Education Bachelor's Degree in related field is required. An MBA or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, related field is preferred..
