Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Epidemiology (BBE) at Fred Hutch is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to conduct statistical methodology and collaborative research related to biomarker evaluation in infectious diseases and cancer. The successful applicant will work primarily on statistical methods development for design and analysis of biomarker studies for disease risk prediction, personalized medicine, and surrogate endpoint identification in cancer and infectious diseases. Data collected by the HIV Vaccine Trial Network (HVTN) studies, the cancer Early Detection and Research Network (EDRN), and the Womens Health Initiative (WHI) studies will be used as a basis for the methodological works. The applicant will also have the opportunity to carry out collaborative projects relevant for biomarker evaluation to present and publish research results.PhD degree in biostatistics/statistics; strong theoretical background and programming skills; strong oral and written communication skills; strong independent problem solving skills. Excellence in R is required. Proficiency in C/C++ a plus. Experience with missing data methods, variable selection, biomarker evaluation, mixture models, high:dimensional data methods, causal inference, survival analysis, or clinical study design a plus. , please include a cover letter describing your research interests and interest in the position, with CV and names of three references.
