Your Challenge: Are you a PhD who is passionate about ultrasound research? We are looking for an engineer to join the ultrasound division of Philips, located in Bothell, Washington. The position is funded and will be a part of a 4-5 year multidisciplinary grant between Philips and an academic research team at Oregon Health & Science University. You will be on a team led by Dr. Jonathan Lindner at Oregon Health & Science University that focuses on ultrasound therapy in ischemic cardiovascular disease. Your Responsibilities: In this role, as an Ultrasound Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: · Implementing and testing modifications to 2D and matrix array beamformation and signal processing software on an EPIQ ultrasound system. · Paying particular attention to new schemes that will amplify therapeutic bioeffects produced by contrast agent cavitation which will include new pulsing schemes, exposure levels, and amplitudes. · Integrating with biologists and in vivo imaging specialists located at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland Oregon, spending time there as well as in Bothell.
