Description: Harrison Medical Center is seeking new RN graduates to apply to the following specialties through this Residency requisition\\: Emergency, Float Team, Medical Surgical, Progressive Care Unit and Oncology. This residency co-hort will start on February 12, 2018. Harrison Medical Center is located on the beautiful Washington State Peninsula offering an incredible variety of outdoor life including hiking, boating and skiing. We are part of the CHI Franciscan System and are a non-profit organization. Job Summary\\: The Versant Registered Nurse Residency Program is an 18 week orientation designed to help the new RN graduate make a smooth transition from student to professional member of our health-care team. Residents receive classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience under the mentorship of an experienced RN. The Nurse Residency Program is tailored to the skills and knowledge requirements of the unit in which nurses are hired. Qualification: Job Requirements\\: New graduate RNs or RNs with less than 6 months of acute care experience that have graduated with a nursing degree within the past 9 months, BSN preferred. Additional education, certification & current education enrollment may substitute for a Bachelors Degree. Licensure as a Washington State RN as a basic level of competency Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association. ACLS/PALS preferred but not required based on area of assignment. Shifts and FTE Vary depending on department needs.
