Job Summary: Under general supervision, the medicalassistant works with all members of the departmental health care team providingassistance to patients, and nursing staff with direct and indirect patientcare, ensuring smooth work and patient flow within the department.

$3000Sign-on bonus for MAs with 2 or more years experience.

$1500Sign-on bonus for MAs with less than 2 years experience.

Schedule: Monday 9:15am-7:15pm (or 1:15pm-7:15pm), Tuesday 7:45am-5:15pm, Thursday 7:15am-5:15pm, Friday 7:15am-4:45pm, and 1 Saturday/month 9am-1pm, averaging 38 hours per week


  • Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.


  • Minimum: Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) through the Washington State Department of Health.
  • Minimum: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (through the American Heart Association).


  • Preferred: 1 year of previous Medical Assistant work experience.

KSAs: Knowledge of medical office practice. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, andtreatment room procedures. Knowledge ofand the ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patientcare. Knowledge of common safety hazardsand precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in assisting in a variety of treatmentsand (medications, if credentialed to do so) as directed. Skill in taking vital signs. Skill in maintaining records and recordingtest results. Skill in establishing andmaintaining effective working relationships with patients, employees,physicians and the public. Ability tomaintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and applyguidelines and procedures. Typing skillsneeded if backing up reception. Abilityto communicate clearly.
