SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (USA). The University of Washington Department of Pathology is seeking a full-time academic Anatomic Pathologist with subspecialty expertise in Gastrointestinal Pathology and/or Breast Pathology with appointment as Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, with or without tenure, depending on qualifications. The candidate is expected to have expertise in surgical pathology of gastrointestinal, pancreatobiliary tracts, and liver diseases along with strong general surgical pathology skills. The University of Washington has strong clinical programs in gastroenterology, pancreatobiliary disease, and hepatology, including liver transplantation. The successful candidate should have special training and/or considerable experience in gastrointestinal surgical pathology and have a strong interest in independent and/or collaborative research with clinicians and basic science investigators. Opportunities exist to participate on other sub-specialty diagnostic services. The candidate will be expected to actively participate in the teaching and training mission of the department including residents, fellows and students.

Candidates must have an M.D., or foreign equivalent, and should be Board eligible/certified in Anatomic Pathology. Fellowship training in GI pathology is desirable. University of Washington faculty embrace a vision of excellence, collaboration and integrity.
