This is a key strategic leadership position that will effect change and lead all aspects of Perioperative services at KPWA.

As the Director of Perioperative Clinical Operations and Services you will be directly accountable for the design and performance of the Outpatient Surgery Center on Capitol Hill and our two Ambulatory Surgery Centers located in Bellevue and Tacoma.

Your responsibility includes c linical operations, m anagement of staff, operating budgets, development of direct management team and the planning and implementation of our strategic growth initiatives.

As a Kaiser Permanente leader, you will collaborate closely with Regional Directors of Operations in the geographic markets as well as the Surgical Services Service Line Director.




Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Health Administration, Clinical Quality or related

Preferred Education:

Master's Degree Nursing, Health Administration, Clinical Quality and/or related

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

Advanced, demonstrated experience in leading multiple levels of staff in a
complex, dynamic environment.

Advanced knowledge of managed care, healthcare reform, industry trends &
integrated healthcare systems.

Knowledge of accounting principles & applications.

Willing to challenge established ways; be innovative & entrepreneurial.

Strong business acumen, budgetary, fiscal, human resource management,
strategic planning, verbal & written communication, presentation, MS Office,
email, internet applications and people skills.

Lean processing.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

5 years progressive operating room management experience.

Prior, extensive successful management experience in a highly productive leadership role.

Prior experience in collective bargaining agreement preparation & negotiation.

Preferred Experience:

5 years MULTIPLE site Operating Room management, healthcare, budget management, staff & planning experience.

Extensive experience working closely with medical staff.

Experience in Perioperative Services Administration with demonstrated success.

Minimum License/Certifications Requirements:

At time of hire RN licensure

Preferred License/Certifications:

AORN certification
