Provides leadership, oversight and strategic direction to ensure operational adherence to the regulatory and contractual requirements for multiple internal and delegated health plan functions across multiple lines of business. Encourages risk-based analysis of issues to align compliant performance requirements with enterprise initiatives. Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and maintain effective compliant performance oversight committees and leads the implementation of effective and appropriate infrastructure, policies, practices and training. Areas of oversight could include, but not be limited to, Model Audit Rule/Sarbanes-Oxley (MAR/SOX) controls, Medicaid, Medicare 5-Star, Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), First Tier, Downstream and Related (FDR) entities, external vendors, and other business partners.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree General studies, business administration, public administration or related field
Preferred Education
Masters Degree Health administration, health services planning, business administration or related field
Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Demonstrated excellence in leadership, alignment and execution. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across enterprise at all levels. Courage to take difficult or unpopular positions when necessary to protect the enterprise. Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements and their application in a healthcare setting. Ability to draft policy documents and translate regulatory requirements into practical and actionable elements. Demonstrated, comprehensive knowledge of compliance and privacy principles and practices. Ability to exude a polished and genuine professional image and calm presence, both internally and externally on Kaiser Permanente's behalf. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Experience with change management. Strong analytical skills. Extremely organized.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
Minimum Experience Requirements
7 years minimum seven years progressively responsible, professional experience in healthcare related field. Four years experience working with regulatory compliance, privacy, security, and confidentiality issues or similar requirements. Demonstrated effective ability to work with executive leaders, medical staffs, administration, department heads and other personnel, as well as external contacts. Extensive management and leadership experience. Proven track record of building programs and driving results in a heavily matrixed organization.
