Abbott Construction's Seattle Office has an opening for a Virtual Design Coordinator. This positon reports directly to Abbott's Director of Pre-Construction and will be integral in expanding the department.

Primary Duties

* 3D modeling for active projects as well as generation of graphics/renderings for Request For Proposals (RFP's)

* Primary lead for production (in-house or management of 3rd party) of Revit models for select projects in the pre-construction process.

* Assist with constructability reviews and production of quantity take off within modeling software

* Generate overlay graphics and generate reports for assessing document set changes

* 4D Scheduling and creation of time-line models

Additionally responsible for

* Help lead in-house training as it relates to BIM software

* Bluebeam Training for field and office staff

* In-house clash detection, where not covered by MEP subcontractor

* Create visualization aids for field crews

* Create self-performed work shop drawings (outline drawings)

* Attendance at software conferences related to role

* Working with IT to keep our technology up to speed in the industry

* Responsible for development of personnel who work under them, including but not limited to BIM or VDCmanagers, project engineers, , support staff, etc

* Coordinate with Director of Pre-Construction to prioritize opportunities that company will pursue and how to put our best foot forward utilizing skill set of Pre-Construction Team as primary support.

* Ensure that our clients are taking care of and have an enjoyable experience working with our team.

* Participate in community service events and participate in select industry events to help foster growth through continual education

* Review constructability means and methods with project teams to help avert challenges before they arise.

* Help establish company standards for Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Fire Sprinkler (MEP) coordination reviews that can be utilized from project to project

Preferred Qualifications:

* Certificate and at least 3 years' experience in REVIT, AutoCad & Navisworks, or 3D site modeling software

* Degree with a technical certificate in BIM or degree/back-round in architecture, engineering or construction
