For additional information on Alexandria, We are seeking a Vice President : Development for our Seattle office. The incumbent will be responsible for the financial and operational performance of our Seattle office. The position will report to the Senior Vice President : Regional Market Director and will be responsible capital deployment, business development, acquisition/disposition due diligence, and will support leasing, construction and project management, regional operations, and leadership initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Represent the Company in a positive and highly professional manner in support of building the Alexandria brand in Seattle. Serve as a key industry and regional spokesperson + Responsible for leading business development efforts and market facing activities. This includes sourcing partnerships and bringing tenants to the organization + Cultivating relationships with local corporations, institutions, organizations and venture capitalists in order to promote AlexandriaA?s mission + Effectively manage the creation of proposals and/or presentations and lead the presentations (i.e. client/tenant meetings, executive and/or board presentations, employee meetings, etc.), as required + Provide guidance to leasing and/or contract negotiation efforts, as required + Identify strategies to support organizational growth. This includes identifying business opportunities to acquire, develop and manage properties in new markets + Serve as an engaged participant in contributing to complex discussions and decisions as related to all matters of organizational operations including personnel, budgets, development, reporting, leasing, construction and development and organizational accountability + Identify and present market trends, opportunities and competitive threats for the Seattle market + Build AlexandriaA?s market presence by attending business, real estate and/or charitable contribution events + Displays a strong, customer service oriented background + Manage the portfolio/assets in alignment with our overall investment strategy + Build high performing teams through selective hiring and effective managing/leading/mentoring + Additional responsibilities, as assigned Qualifications and Experience: + Qualified candidates will be experienced leaders with a minimum of 10 years of real estate experience. + BachelorA?s Degree (BA or BS) required.
