The Strategic Recruiting Team at Amazon is part of the executive recruiting organization and takes a proactive, high:touch approach to building strong talent networks in critical talent groups of long:term value and importance to Amazon. Our team has developed a scalable global framework and set of processes for acquiring senior level talent in these areas that can be reapplied to new domain areas as AmazonA?s talent demand evolves. One of the critical talent groups this team specializes in is user experience / user interface design professionals. The Strategic Recruiting Team is looking to grow the Design Recruiting practice. In this role you will partner with business leaders to define (and in some instances, perhaps, ascertain) AmazonA?s immediate and long:term talent needs, develop a talent network of senior designers and leaders, and build awareness for Amazon Design in in the external design community. In the first 12 months, we expect this professional to: : Own and manage a portfolio of searches with responsibility for delivering against hiring goals. : Create a design talent strategy and recruitment plan for each search. : Conduct targeted research to collect market and candidate data to help create informed recruiting strategies. : Establish a strong network/pipeline of design talent. : Become an internal subject matter expertise on design hiring at Amazon and serve as a resource to design leaders and recruiting peers. : Partner with senior design leaders on strategic programs and events with a goal of long:term engagement with passive candidates. : Represent Amazon Design at design related conferences, events, and networking mixers. : Define and guide the positioning and messaging of Amazon Design with the external design community. : Lead new creative thinking about talent acquisition be a thought leader in driving the direction and synthesis of new candidate experiences. 3+ years of full:life cycle recruiting experience Demonstrated success meeting hiring goals for senior or niche talent. Previous experience in executive search and/or recruiting creative talent is highly desired. Superb verbal and written communication skills; a compelling communicator able to engage the attention of busy, senior executives; able to convey complex arguments and engage with senior level executives in a polished and professional manner Combine tenacity with tact; know when more pressure and when to give in Self:assured, not easily thrown, able to think on your feet Outgoing and gregarious, enjoy interacting with a variety of people Inquisitive; a strong desire to learn Ability to work cross:functionally with a number of internal constituents, academics and world:class subject matter experts BachelorA?s degree required.
