Come join a dynamic team of Health Care IT professionals. Within our Care Delivery IT organization, we're passionate about the work we do. The Senior Technical Project Manager role is a critical and valuable part of our team. Along with traditional project management skills, we are looking for experience with:

Epic's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and a track record of working with delivery system staff to develop workflows.

Leading large cross-functional IT project teams composed of numerous IT staff from multiple IT disciplines, and business/clinical subject matter experts from multiple departments.

Being responsible for the planning, development and execution of complex technical IT solutions.

Providing IT technical expertise such as: programming, database and data design, networking, application interfacing, and use of multiple IT technical tools to manage technology.

Applying lean principles and A3 thinking to problem solve, resolve process issues, and improve customer experience.

Consulting with business and IT leadership, management, and work unit teams.

Analyzing and documenting current and future state workflow processes and IT system configurations, and recommending strategies for optimal integration of IT systems and use.


Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or combination of Bachelor's Degree and equivalent Computer Science / Information Technology experience.

Preferred Education
Master's Degree in Computer Sciences / Information Technology or combination of Master's degree and equivalent Computer Science / Information Technology experience.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements

Advanced Ability to learn computer applications from a business and IT principles perspective to integrate into project planning.

Ability to learn new skills quickly and apply them.

Self-directed learner comfortable with constantly evolving environments.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills required.

Skilled in project management methods and consultant techniques and approaches. Proficiency in use of MSProject, Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Advanced Computer programming, database/data design, application integration technology, technical IT tools.

Advanced Ability to translate technical subject matter into concise, clear communication understood by technical and non-technical leaders and users.

Accomplished interpersonal oral and written communications skills.

Demonstrated aptitude to plan and organize complex work for self and others, and direct and assist others to meet quality and timeline targets and budget.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

Advanced Working knowledge of management systems, business practices, and Lean quality improvement principles and methods.

Advanced Computer programming, database/data design, application integration technology, technical IT tools.

Advanced IT analytic and project management knowledge and proficiency.

Minimum Experience Requirements
6 years of experience managing medium-scale, complex IT projects.
8 years of experience in IT software design, build, testing, and implementation of medium-scale, complex projects.

Preferred Experience
8 years of experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects.
10 or more years of experience in IT software design, build, testing, and implementation of large-scale, complex projects.


Minimum License/Certifications Requirements
None Required.

Preferred License/Certifications

At time of hire Project Management Certification is preferred.
