Context: Educurious is a Washington State nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower and motivate young people to achieve academic, career, and personal success through transformative learning experiences. We are seeking a result-oriented, team player interested in helping us build life- changing experiences for young people by growing employer participation in programs like the City of Seattle’s Youth Employment Initiative, 100K Opportunities Initiative, and Educurious’ Career Connection curriculum.

About the position: The Employer Partnership Manager is responsible for procuring successful youth employment and career-connected learning opportunities including but not limited to: paid internships, job shadows, informational interviews, etc. Day-to-day activities include but are not limited to: employer outreach and follow-up, marketing of services, connecting employers with youth serving organizations, securing placements, and providing customer-service support to employers as needed.

Employer Partnership Managers are contributors on a team that is expected to meet/exceed performance objectives with the highest level of integrity. Some local travel may be required to our clients and/or to provide services to participants. In the role of Employer Partnership Manager you will be supporting and reporting to the Program Manager leading your initiative.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain on-going relationships to expand contacts with business and industry professionals to enhance career connection opportunities (networking, informational interviews, mentoring, work-based problems, job shadows, internships).
Prospecting for and securing employment and internship/externship opportunities for youth in South Seattle and South King County by selling the value of program participation.
Educate and/or train employers on how to work effectively with youth to ensure program success.
Utilize Salesforce to maintain a database of business prospects and employers and follow up on leads.
Provide support in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the program in meeting the employer’s needs.
Work closely with external stakeholders to manage relationships with funders and corporate partners.
Facilitate introductions between business and industry professionals and schools and/or youth serving organizations.
Attend internal and external meetings as needed.
Assist program manager in financial repository activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

One to three years’ experience in business development, fundraising/development, workforce development, human resources, or related experience.
Knowledge of job development and workforce development strategies.
Knowledge of fundraising and/or business development preferred.
Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Suite).
Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
Self-starter who is comfortable with start-up environments and can work with or without
Ability to market services, cold call prospective clients, and have a strong customer service
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and results orientation.
Ability to work as part of a team and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work with youth and adults from diverse economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
Familiarity with digital marketing tactics.

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in communications, business, marketing, psychology, or related field required.
Completion of two years of college AND four or more years of experience in job development, human
resources, sales or marketing, or youth employment.
