Job Description
Role: Director, Sales Distribution
Location: Oregon
Compensation: Based on Experience
Summary : The Director, Sales Distribution will be responsible for building our clients product distribution and sales teams. This role will be a two:part position. Phase 1 includes developing distribution routes for our clients flower and concentrate lines, which requires outside sales territory management, and Phase 2 will focus more on team leadership and sales strategy. This role requires an intimate understanding of cannabis distribution operations. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working within a sales position in the cannabis industry and proven experience scaling and leading successful sales teams.

Job Responsibilities
:Drive the companys goals of growth and expansion of our clients Cannabis brand products.
:Establishes sales objectives by working with Executives to forecast and develop annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
:Will be responsible for opening and servicing new dispensary accounts to bring our brand of products to the market. Acquiring raw material for manufacturing partners.
:Sells products by implementing Oregon sales plans and supervising sales managers.
:Must be a Brand Ambassador for our clients products
:Strategize and support CEO/CFO in financial planning activities
:Determines annual unit and gross profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results
:Implements sales programs by developing field sales action plans
:Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
:Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
:Completes sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on results
:Maintains professional and technical knowledge by networking in the Cannabis industry, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks; participating in trade shows and professional societies
:Remains up to date on Cannabis legislation
:Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
:Maintains sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
:Maintains sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
:Ensures own actions and department operations comply with company policies and procedures and applicable employment laws and regulations

Abilities and Competencies
:Must be a self:starter (ideally with sales and distribution experience) lots of positive energy and passion for Cannabis market
:Meeting sales goals, negotiation, selling to customer needs, motivation for sales, sales planning, building relationships, coaching, managing processes, market knowledge, developing budgets, staffing
:2 years proven experience in Cannabis industry
:5+ years sales management experience
:Previous experience with a major brand or technology company in the industry a plus
:Deep understanding of Cannabis industry and brands, knowledge of concentrates
:Pre:existing industry relationships : connection with Tier:1 brands
:Experience with dispensary sales and inner workings
:Experience selling with a major statewide POS systems
:Knowledge of in store demos
:Experience selling products
:Relationship at key dispensaries multi:location chains
:Willing to travel 80 of the time
