The majority of programs for this role are in Seattle Public Schools building. Programs use classrooms, child care rooms, gyms and outdoor spaces. Sand Point Elementary School is located on NE 60th Street next to Magnuson Park. Our program focuses on diversity, social responsibility, fun and learning through art, stem and play. Be part of an amazing team of staff who provide enrichment and recreation activities, teach teamwork and social skills, and support children as they grow and learn. Child care is more than a safe place after school, it is an exciting, fun filled activities that allow children to reach their fullest potential. Who are you? If youre the right candidate for the job, you are excited to spend your afternoons impacting the lives of children. You thrive on the energy of groups of children and are ready to jump in and lead activities. You are always stepping up to offer support at the first sign its needed. You are comfortable with individual and groups of children, can talk to and partner with parents and other adults, and have an interest in and aptitude for learning new ways to work with kids. You have an eye for quality programming and can build a sense of belonging with the groups you work with. Teachers are in ratio daily and leading activities on a daily basis. Program hours are 2:15pm : 6pm and 12:30pm : 6pm on Wednesdays, during break camps and non:school days our program operates from 7am : 6pm.
