The Strategic Recruiting Team (SRT) at Amazon builds and develops relationships with leaders in talent areas that will have long:term impact on the company. We build and cultivate niche talent communities by: developing long:term relationships with key world:renowned applied research and design prospects, engaging in external communities at conferences and external events, developing partnerships with academia, and bolstering internal Amazon talent communities. The SRT Program Manager will drive these efforts globally. : Partner with Academic Engagement Council to rationalize and execute annual planning for university partnerships. : Maintain updated templates, messaging collateral and processes for inventory of existing global academic partnerships. : Manage quarterly Academic Engagement Council discussions and decentralized program management communications. : Work with broad array of stakeholders to manage academic requests. :Manage Amazon Faculty Summits and convene an organizing committee for implementation. These were a highly visible and cost:effective academic engagement mechanism in 2015, and a 2016 Supply Chain Optimization Summit and potentially one other should be replicated. :Own communication on programs with customers internally and external academic community. Identify stakeholders and share relevant information on upcoming events and important recruiting trends including metrics. : Manage dispersed budget process for approved academic requests. Experience of operating in a complex, international, fast paced environment, where customer experience is paramount and juggling conflicting demands against tight deadlines is the norm Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to influence stakeholders and strong PM experience Highly conversant with Excel, Outlook, Word; exposure to database management is preferred Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete a high volume of tasks and projects autonomously Excellent judgment, discretion and sensitivity when dealing with high profile executives inside or outside the company, and confidential information Ability to make informed and timely decisions; understand when to take ownership of a decision and when to involve other parties Reacts with appropriate levels of urgency and tenacity to situations that require quick response or turnaround Thinks ahead and troubleshoots; removes obstacles before they become problems Impeccable attention to detail and problem solving skills Remains focused and calm under pressure.
