We are looking for a highly-motivated Service Engineer with proven track record in excellence and can partner effectively to drive impact. Devices Team manages a growing number of projects that interface with hardware and software partners. Many of these development projects requires exchanging and collaborating on work items (bugs, tasks, deliverables, etc.) so both engineering partners can manage their work that ensures transparency and efficiency while simultaneously ensuring security policies are enforced. You will be responsible for understanding Engineering Team requirements within the context of the overall business and transform them into high value capabilities in our Partner Collaboration space. You will work with internal/external partner teams to align vision, objectives, manage risks, define/implement plans and ultimately deliver impact.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, cross-organizational and project management skills and thrive in a highly innovative, fast paced, evolving and ambiguous environment. This requires the ability to work well in a team environment and build strong partnerships across different organizations. You must be self-motivated, proactive and possess the ability for maintaining a depth of expertise in developing and enabling solutions that will scale.
- Drive and manage service projects that enable key cross company collaboration capabilities
- Enable collaboration between and partners that is reliable, reusable and manageable is critical
- Identify and drive requirements to onboard partner engagements
- Resolve technical customer issues in collaboration with other internal and external teams
- Interface with various levels of management within customers, Partners, and Microsoft
- Learn and grow relevant skills through completion of ongoing readiness and platform training
- Identify and implement learnings from service investigations to improve Service/Platform architecture
- Drive continuous improvement in the Service/Platform by incorporating feedback from internal/external customers
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the role of a Service Engineer or relevant support role
- 3+ years of experience designing, managing or supporting an end to end enterprise-level service in either service engineering, operations or support roles
- Experience working with other engineering disciplines and contribute in a diversified, collaborative environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills Understanding of TFS/VSTS work management features, customizations including custom controls, extensions and add-ins
