Quantum is seeking a senior IT Security Architect to build and evolve our program.


* Designs, plans, implements and manages the IT Security Program through policy management, risk assessments, employee education, awareness and metrics reporting on the effectiveness of the Security Program.

* Develops and supports the security governance framework along with compliance enforcement and communication of the Information Security Program.

* Leading expansion of the IT Security Program including policies, processes, infrastructure and a team of IT Security resources.

* Analyzes and correlate information collected from a variety of sources to identify, investigate, report, minimize, mitigate and remove vulnerabilities in the environment.

* Drives resolution of identified security incidents, coordinating with infrastructure and applications teams as required to achieve incident resolution.

* Coordinates day to day monitoring of risks and assist in setting the direction for the information security program, security policies, reviews of audit findings, and resolution of variances.

* Analyzes network traffic, web applications, cloud applications and host data to identify unusual activity and potential threats.

* Establishes alerting thresholds/triggers, analyzes alerts from various sources, and determines potential causes and effects on systems and data.

* Correlates logs & alerts against network traffic and host data sources to root out false positives.

* Performs regular and ad-hoc vulnerability scans.

* Provides engineering support for security incidents and participates in incident triage, determining scope, urgency, and potential impact of security incidents.

* Responds to and resolves identified security incidents, maintaining contact with management, end users and the IT Helpdesk.

* Performs trend analysis and reporting on security incidents, identifying technical and procedural findings; recommending remediation strategies or technical solutions.

* Participate in IT security audits as required.


* 10+ Years of overall IT experience with 5+ Years in security engineering, information protection, information lifecycle management, data loss prevention or cloud computing security.

* Bachelor's degree in one of the following Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science or combination of equivalent education and experience.

* Working knowledge of Network / Security / Authentication protocols IPSec, IKE, EAP, SSL, SSH, LDAP, SAML.

* Hands-on experience installing and administering a variety of security systems including firewalls, IDS, SIEM, NAC and DLP.

* Proven experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, PowerShell, Ruby, C, SOAP, Java, XLM.

* Strong knowledge in a variety of areas: IAM, Virtualization, Windows / Linux Security, Cloud Security, Network Security, Database Security, Application Whitelisting, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security, Data Classification, Data loss prevention, Information/Digital Rights management, SIEM, Encryption, CASB Services.

* Must understand the information lifecycle, including data transfer, data in-use and data at rest.

* Experience using security tools such as log analyzers, network tracers, and vulnerability scanners.

* Knowledge of the following security solutions is a plus: Cyber-Ark, SailPoint, Nessus, RSA, ForeScout, Splunk, Symantec DLP, Microsoft PKI.

* Understanding of various privacy and data security laws/regulations (both domestic and international) and best practices / frameworks / standards such as HIPPA, ISO 27000, FISMA, SOC, GDRP, PCI-DSS, NIST, and GAPP.

* Must hold a security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC Certified Incident Handler, plus years' experience in an IT Security discipline.

* Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of interacting effectively with end-users, technology professionals and various levels of management.

* Must be self-motivated and able to manage priorities judiciously.
