Imagine a world where connected devices and their data are ubiquitous. What problems would you solve if you knew the state of everything in the world? Would you improve crop yields and fight hunger, enable fleets of autonomous electric vehicles to replace cars, save lives with medical equipment that orders a repair for itself, or make every home a smart home? Designers on the AWS IoT Customer Experience team are building software for this connected future. You will work collaboratively with a cross:functional team of UX designers, researchers, product managers, design technologists and developers to explore, create and refine ways in which our customers connect, manage and optimize millions of everyday devices. As a member of the design team you will contribute to the product roadmap, drive future concepts, and deliver improvements to our current applications including AWS IoT, AWS Greengrass and IoT Button. The ideal candidate has experience in digital enterprise products or software as a service, with strong blue sky/ideation skills, robust holistic systems thinking, deep attention to detail, and passion for making difficult tasks into simple and delightful experiences for customers. Collaboration and product ownership is essential, requiring you to be a great communicator, and successfully present and align with the IoT customer experience team and stakeholder input. Additionally, you must be able to work with ambiguity and deliver designs that elevate the AWS customer experience as a whole. 8+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar UX:related roleAn online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experienceFluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user:centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniquesFamiliarity with user interface patterns for web, mobile and service design4+ years of design management experienceExperience with ux design for complex workflows and/or for technical end usersStrong time management skills and the ability to be self:directed when neededSolid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design decisionsA BachelorA?s degree or graduate degree in interaction design, human:computer interaction (HCI), or a related UX degreeDemonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research)Computer science background is also a plusAmazon is an Equal Opportunity:Affirmative Action Employer : Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation.
