Job Code: 2591 Title: CNC Programmer : MasterCam Job Type: Full Time Job Location: Redmond Washington Job Description: We are looking for an experienced CNC programmer to support programming using MasterCam. The position will be a contracted position for periods of 6 months if not more. The job will include requirements gathering, CNC programming using MasterCam, and regular communication with our customers whom we support. This is an exciting opportunity which could grow to multiple development opportunities within our customer base. Qualifications 3+ years of CNC programming experience ability to understand customer requirements and produce programs based on those requirements Must be a good communicator and time manager MS Applications Responsibilities Utilize high speed CNC machines to produce intricate tooling components. Import SolidWorks data into Esprit programming package to create CNC programs as well as G:code programming at the control. Develop, setup and create operating procedures for CNC mills. Review, recommend and develop new technology to advance the hard milling capabilities. Create subroutines to setup, measure and align using Blum probe and laser to compensate for cutter wear. Manipulate SoldWorks drawings for high speed machining process. Setup and develop inspection procedures for components. Other duties as assigned. Making certain CNC programs are created that will produce parts that meet all drawing requirements. Making certain setups are simple and capable of holding parts in a safe and accurate way. Making certain that processes and setups instructions are documented and can be handed off to operators for repeat production runs. Qualifications: Requires knowledge of tooling and machining practices. Requires knowledge of Solid Modeling in SolidWorks (other mainstream package experience considered). Requires great attitude to deal in fast paced and ever changing environment. Knowledge of engineering principles and procedures, with good understanding of manufacturing processes will be a plus. Ability to read 3D models and drawings. Ability to use computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer. Ability to use general inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, gage pins, comparators, thread gauges, etc About Us TecHOUNDS is a Southern California based Technology staffing firm.
