Job Description Receptionist (evenings & Sat) needed for a nonprofit 25 bed inpatient women's alcohol & drug treatment facility located in Kirkland, WA. The position is 15 hours a week - Wednesday & Thursday 5:15pm-9:15pm (4 hr shifts) and Saturday 9am-4pm (7 hr shift and includes free lunch). Flexibility needed to occasionally alter work schedule or work extra hours for back up when daytime administrative staff are absent. Familiarity with HIPAA confidentiality policies required. Ability to deal with public and family members in a pleasant and professional manner. Must be comfortable dealing with calls from people in crisis and able to de-escalate situations both on phone and at front desk. Must be a strong multi-tasker who can deal well with the interruptions that reception has, yet have ability to complete assigned projects. Requires a minimum of intermediate skill level in MS Windows, MS Office applications. Candidate must be able to work cooperatively & communicate well on shared projects as well as be a positive team member. JOB DESCRIPTION The Receptionist shall have no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of two years prior to time of employment at Residence XII and no misuse of alcohol or other drugs while employed at Residence XII. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Type 50 wpm Familiarity with computers & software. Good grammatical knowledge and excellent phone manner essential. Knowledge of the principles, steps and traditions of a 12-step self-help anonymous group. Pleasant oral and written communication skills. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Answer phones/ Greet visitors 2. Open Saturday incoming mail & make deliveries to staff mailboxes 3. Monitor patients & visitors interactions for appropriateness. 4. Direct visitors to groups. 5. Provide support for set-up of monthly Intervention Group. 6. Assemble blank patient charts for future admits. 7. Assist Administrative Assistant #1 with assembly of information packets. 8. Assist Administrative Assistant #1 with closing patient files 9. Complete financial forms & collect payments 10. Print Provider patient statements for Patient Account Reps 11. Complete patient exit paperwork 12. Filing - patient documents 13. Photo copying 14 Assist Administrative Assistant #1 with files management of patient files & financial information (filing, scanning, shredding). 15. Mail family outreach packets 16. Mail Outcome surveys and enter returned survey data into database. 17. Other as assigned by Director of Administration Salary $16.00 -- $17.00/hour DOE.
