Job DescriptionSUMMARY: Supports the firms marketing and business development activities, including the development of marketing materials such as attorney biographies and presentations, client-facing events and meetings, assisting with the firms client ticket program, maintenance of department databases and website, assisting with business development research and additional administrative duties, as assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:In concert with the Director of Business Development and Marketing and the Business Development & Marketing Manager, the essential duties and responsibilities of the Marketing & Business Development Coordinator include the following:Assist in the drafting, editing and maintenance of marketing collateral for the firm, including attorney biographies and service descriptions and assist with maintenance of firm websiteIdentify and track opportunities for attorney awards and recognition in publications; drafts nominations and other submissions, including directoriesDraft and produce promotional and other collateral material, including advertisementsLiaise with attorneys to produce and distribute firm eAlerts, news releases and other publications and announcements; includes placement of information on firm websiteMaintain and oversee inventory of branded client giftsCoordinate attorney photos, including scheduling sessions with photographers, working to upload photos to the firms website and Intranet, and maintaining electronic files of all photosAssist with the coordination of sports and event tickets for client entertainment, including the distribution, tracking and oversight of arrangements with venue/vendor(s)Organize, execute and support firm-sponsored events, including seminars, receptions and other client events; handles all details from conception through execution and follow-upWork with the firms content management system to document and track all client outreach; maintains client mailing listsConduct substantive research on new business opportunities in concert with the Director, Specialist and firm Research CenterFulfill requests for business development materials, including bios, service descriptions, PowerPoint presentations, brochures and moreWork on special projects as requested by Director, Manager and various attorneysSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Educations and/or ExperienceUndergraduate degree requiredOne to two years of relevant experience; previous law firm or other professional services marketing experience preferredFlexibility for overtime requiredExceptional writing and editing skills; solid familiarity with AP StylebookOutstanding attention to detailPrior experience with website updates using a CMS (Content Management System) strongly preferredAbility to work independently as well as with a teamAbility to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlinesExcellent verbal communication skillsIntermediate experience with Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint and Excel)Familiarity with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus but not requiredLanguage Skills:Ability to read various references, extract information and prepare correspondence and reports. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, detailed correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal clients and other employees of the firm.Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to organize, verify, compose, and analyze data to complete general functional procedures.Other Skills and Abilities:Exceptional client service focus and skillsAbility to accurately identify problems and use proper channels to address concerns and suggest appropriate ways to improve procedures and techniques.Ability to take initiative, work independently, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines under pressure.Ability to manage time and resources effectively enough to meet deadlines and expected volume.Ability to prioritize work and multiple demands for assistance.Willingness to volunteer for tasks and see opportunities to assist others when needed.
