Market Sales Representative
As a member of James Hardie's Interiors Segment, Market Sales Representatives work to secure strong relationships, product positioning and brand presence within the market's "big box" retail accounts, tile dealers, lumberyards, and distributors. In addition, this role will strategically identify and target potential end users (e.g. tile installers, property management companies, remodelers) to generate and grow new business by successfully converting the target audience from using competitive building products to using the James Hardie products. The incumbent also positions the Company's value proposition and whole:product solution (interiors and exteriors) to the customer to build and enhance strong customer relationships and to become a strong business partner.
The Market Sales Representative focuses sales efforts in their geographical territory in coordination with and leadership from his/her appropriate Area Sales Manager (ASM). The Market Sales Representative will individualize a plan for their territory and decide on the proper focus areas to achieve market share growth goals.
:Establish relationships with key store / branch management in "big box" retail and Pro accounts
:Uncover creative methods to position the Company's products and solutions in the stores and in front of target customers
:Create a market map consisting of builders, installers, and channel dynamics to aid in market execution strategy
:Perform in:store demonstrations and aggregation events to educated employees and convert competitive product users
:Develop healthy sales funnel consisting of potential HardieBacker and siding users currently using competitive products
:Learn and demonstrate the fundamentals of tile installation across the various building segments
:Negotiate mutual beneficial agreements between the customer and James Hardie
:Maintain effective inventory levels at all retail accounts
:Conduct a competitive market analyses; including existing territory, customer types, and existing competitive products
:Leverage salesforce to plan and manage time as well as customer information
:Use internal and external reporting tools to understand current market performance and identify opportunities for growth

:2 : 4 years of successful outside sales experience selling value:added, whole solution products to customers
:Bachelor's degree (Sales and/or Marketing preferred)
:Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
:Previous experience in construction environments a plus
:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
:Valid driver's license.
