Job Description:/h3:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions relating to general ledger, reconciliations, internal and external financial and regulatory reporting. The Staff Account positon will also provide assistance with other accounting projects as needed. This role requires cooperation with all levels of staff and vendors. The ideal candidate must be able to work with high efficiency, be flexible in their approach, detailed, organized and react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround, maintain confidentiality of information and use discretion and judgment in discussing information about the firm.
Additionally, this position will require someone with strong initiative, proactive approach and excellent attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly accounting cycle functions
Responsible for reconciliation of General Ledger
Process
daily/weekly/monthly entries into accounting enterprise system and generate financial statements
Coordinate accounts payable/ receivable functions
Responsible for entry and support for expense reporting process
Responsible for preparing reports; tax reports, monthly, quarterly
Oversee and support time and expense data within Concur
Researches, analyzes accounts and prepares financial statement as needed
Provides ad hoc reporting as directed
Other duties as assigned

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Process payroll on a semi monthly basis
Compile and process quarterly reports; (L and I, City of Seattle)
Focus reports
Prep and report year end functions
Prep/ compile needed financial documents for audit purposes

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Bachelors degree, higher educational degree preferred (will accept work related experience in lieu of degree)

Experience
Highly proficient in the use of Excel
Prior and current experience with QuickBooks Enterprise software a plus
Strong initiative, oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Ability to pay close attention to detail, work independently , and problem solve
